Making Roads Safer with UX audio alerts

Motive is the industry leader in fleet management with a 400k+ vehicle network. Their new advanced AI Dashcam detects unsafe driving behavior and warns the driver with audible alerts. A range of notification sounds were needed including high alerts, informative events and time sensitive notifications.

APPROACH: 60 alerts were divided into 5 category sounds based on the type of notification. The psychology of sound shape was used to signify the action intended and immediacy required. A distinctive tonality for the dashcam was created to fit into automobile category of sound.
